Chef Profile

Kiren and Kelli have travelled extensively and worked in many different parts of the world researching and developing ideas with food and wine. This has been a major influence on the menu as well as the standards and quality of the restaurant.
Kiren, the Chef/Owner carried out his training in the highly acclaimed Wolfs Castle Country Hotel in Pembrokeshire, Wales. He later moved to the Wolfe Restaurant as Sous Chef, training under Mike Lewis (Pembrokeshire Chef of the Year 1997, 98, 99).
Following the completion of his accredited training, he worked as Head Chef at The Candlestores Restaurant, Haverfordwest, which received the Tast of Wales award. During this time he met his Canadian born wife, Kelli. Kiren and Kelli then spent 2 years working and exploring the culinary delights of Europe.
Here they both gained extensive knowledge in the many different cuisines the continent had to offer. They gained a passion for food cultures, which later led them to different parts of the world, including Fiji, Thailand, Malaysia, North America and finally to Australia. Here, Kiren has been able to combine his wonderful repertoire of culinary skills with the array of fresh local produce and wines.
Fine food and wine has always been a big part of Kiren and Kelli’s lives, and working in the Swan Valley with such an abundance of fresh local produce and beautiful wine is the ultimate reward.
